FAQ

I don’t like gyms. What alternatives do I have?

Lots of people don’t like training in the gym after being indoors all day. This is why we train our clients wherever they want to be trained. Local parks, rooftops, and anywhere else outdoors are all perfect places to train.

I tried training before but nothing changed. How will a personal trainer make a difference?

We help clients set goals then provide consistent, challenging exercise programs that fit your schedule. Programs cover core stability, resistance training, postural restoration, and cardiovascular exercise. Whether you’re interested in losing fat, building muscle, becoming more flexible, or general conditioning, we’ll help you reach your goals.

When will I start to see results?

The onset of training is approximately 3 weeks. This means that after 4 weeks of training the effects of the first week will begin to show. That being said, many people notice results sooner, especially if they stick to their meal plan.

What happens if I can’t make it to a scheduled appointment?

Clients are required to give their trainer 24 hours notice of cancellation so that the session may be rescheduled. Failure to give sufficient notice will incur the cost of the session.

How often should I exercise?

It’s recommended that everyone exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week. If you’re interested in seeing dramatic results we recommend exercising a minimum of 45-60 minutes 3 times a week and adopting a healthy diet. At least 1 of these hours should be with a personal trainer, to monitor progress and ensure continued development.

What equipment do I need?

The only equipment you need is comfortable clothing and athletic footwear. Clothes that restrict movement, such as suits or high heels, should not be worn during sessions. Any other equipment will be provided by the trainer.

How will my progress be monitored?

During your initial consultation, your trainer will measure your height and weight, take your girth measurements, and conduct a brief fitness assessment. This is done every 4 weeks. Your trainer will also keep a detailed log of each session in order to track your progress. All this information is confidential–only you and your trainer will see it. Clients are also encouraged to monitor their own progress, for example changes in shirt or dress sizes.

How do I get started?

Call or email us and we’ll arrange to meet for an initial consultation to discuss your fitness history, current barriers, and future goals. Once we understand your goals, your trainer will design your program and the two of you can get started. A consultation and subsequent session can be scheduled by clicking here.
